Moroccan Tangine Simmer SauceMost of TJ's simmer sauces are good, but this one is extra special. With exotic spices and a hint of cinnamon, this sauce is great with TJ's swordfish steaks. Just put a couple frozen steaks in a pan wide enough to hold them, pour the sauce over the top, put a lid on it and make some organic basmati rice. In no time, you'll think you'll be saying. "Make it again, Sam!"Submitted on 01/28/2006 by katmarsh Number of people who have "favored" this: 0 Read all 13 reviews below -OR-Add your own reviewReviews (13)

hey folks, love TJ's and all that it stands for... looking forward to reading reviews and adding my two pesos.
I wasn't crazy about this sauce. WAY too salty and one-dimensional. Stick to the Indian simmer sauce varieties. bymegbro, March 18, 2006
I love Moroccan Tagine Simmer Sauce, but today while shopping at TJ's, I couldn't find it. I asked, and they said it had been discontinued. Wahhhh! I want my MT Simmer Sauce!

I bought one jar to try this , and it was one of the best sauces I ever tasted! I returned to my local TJs and was told it had been discontinued! WHY?
byJeannie, April 18, 2006
I love this sauce for a quick and very healthy and nutritious dinner. I add it to a skillet of sauted chicken (I like skinless boneless chicken thighs, the kosher one) and add a can of TJs chopped tomatoes, onion, and garbanzo beans and add raisons. I dont know what ethnicity this dish is now, maybe "fusion,"? But it tastes so great! Oh, and don't forget to add a generous drizzle of tjs olive oil!!

What a shame that TJ's discontinued this wonderful simmer sauce. Please bring back our Moroccan Tangine Simmer Sauce!

Why would you discontinue one of your best products! Please bring it back right away!!!

I especially miss the Morrocan Tangine simmer sauce, please bring it back. Very flavorful and a wonderful way to prepare a quick, delicious meal. Better than your marsala or korma sauces.
Pepita with tofu in corn tortillas were once a weekly ritual, too. Cindy bynneginsky, May 27, 2006
The Moroccan Tangine Simmer sauce is my favorite product at Trader Joe's.
Please please bring it back! -Natasha bylizaveta, June 4, 2006
I absolutely love the moroccan tangine simmer sauce and I can't understand why it would be discontinued when so many people like it. It is one of my favorite products at Trader Joes. Please bring it back.

I *thought* my local Trader Joe's was just out of this sauce, so we went to four different Trader Joe's today looking for it. I couldn't find it so I thought I would try the Internet. What do you mean "This sauce is discontinued"? THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR THIS SAUCE!! It's one of the best Trader Joe's ever made! We also cooked it with chicken and rice and it just had the most incredible flavor! I agree with everyone who posted before me: PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!!

I thought this has been discontinued -- is it still available at anyone's store?

I love this sauce and they absolutely have to bring it back. It's so popular. I love the flavors and spice. I'm crossing my fingers they will have it available again.
