Irish Whiskey Cooler

1 shot of whiskey, preferably Dalmore, Balvenie, Glenlivet or Macallan 10yr. Stay away from smokey whiskeys like laphroaig, Johnny walker, etc.
1 shot of Caorlan's Irish Cream
1/2 cup ice

Serve in an medium glass, and stir the mixture to let the ice dilute the thick cream.

The author of this recipe has confused single malt scotch with irish whiskey. Personally, I wouldn't use any of the listed whiskies in a mixed drink. Use a cheap blend for that.
