Cornbread MixThis cornbread is absolutely delicious! It's got a delicate, crusty exterior and a moist interior with just a hint of sweetness. And it couldn't be easier to make -- just add an egg, some oil, and a little milk, and bake. Amazing flavor for such little work. I like to serve this with anything Mexican or Southwestern, and then heat up leftovers for breakfast the next morning.I've got a BBQ place nearby that has a reputation for great cornbread. Let me just say that this cornbread blows that one away! Submitted on 05/17/2006 by NewtonFan Number of people who have "favored" this: 0 Read all 17 reviews below -OR-Add your own reviewReviews (17)
I won't buy any of that Jiffy mix stuff anymore because this one's the best!

This is a very, very good box mix! Tasty, moist, a touch of sweet. Delicious! I whip this up quickly and pair it with TJ's Beef Chili, some sour cream, TJ's shredded cheddar... what a meal! Family loves it.
Someone turned me on to this and I am addicted (as I am with most TJ products).
Being from the South this cornbread runs circles around most any I have tried before. Delish! byTJsGirl, September 25, 2008
Wow - all my life have have been searching for the elusive cornbread my family and friends always said was so good - only to find the only edible version in this box. Not too sweet, not too 'oily' tasting - just great flavors.

I look for excuses to make this and share with others. So easy, such great results! I love the little bits of corn inside, and how it's crumbly without falling apart. No need to look elsewhere for cornbread.

This is the best cornbread you will ever try. I recommend to everyone I know. I think it's the sweetness that sets this apart from others.

it's a little dangerous how accessible good corn bread is to me now. super easy, even for a directions-reading nut like me, even has corn kernels in it! but you must add dried cranberries. even more than they suggest. a whole cup is what i'm going to try next time. the crusty crunchy parts of this cornbread is the best. even my friend who makes a big deal out of baking everything from scratch loved it.

This stuff is the BEST.
I add a small can of creamed corn and cut the milk by about half, and throw in a handful of corn kernals from the frozen food section...so moist and YUMMY! If you add even more creamed corn & milk, and thin it out, it turns into a great corn casserole you scoop out and eat with a fork --- I could eat the whole pan. And my mother-in-law raves about it when I make it -- need I say more???
Not bad for a mix. I sprinkle brown sugar on top about 10 minutes before it is finished baking. Good price, very happy TJ's doesn't shy away from using child labor to keep their prices low.
I will never buy another cornbread mix again!Use melted butter in place of the oil, and you won't have to butter it. Fantastic!

If you like your cornbread sweet, then this is for you...personally, I thought it was too sweet (I like my cornbread "corny," and I sweeten it up to my taste with honey). I probably won't buy this again.

i start off just adding the egg and a jar of the corn chile tomato-less salsa, then add milk till it gets to the right consistency. the salsa gives it a nice little kick.
